About Alice Tait.

Alice is an intuitive and compassionate counsellor and coach with over a decade of experience supporting and empowering people to live their best life. Alice is a member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, a qualified Equine Assisted Therapist and previously held certification as an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation. Utilising these qualifications, Alice has worked in a range of settings with both adults, couples, and young people navigating life’s challenges. Alice is passionate about raising her client’s self-awareness and empowering them to make positive choices. In this way, Alice works alongside her client in a reflective and collaborative manner to ensure they are making progress and finding new tools or strategies that work for them. Living in a country town in rural Queensland, Alice has become aware of the challenges and difficulties facing rural families, in particular rural women. Alice feels she is placed to empathise and genuinely understand the challenges and perspectives underpinning rural communities.

What Can Alice Offer You?

Each session with Alice is guided and tailored to her client’s needs at that moment. She uses a range of contemporary theories and techniques including, Gestalt Therapy, Somatic Awareness, Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Alice is adept at applying and adapting her skills and experience to the unique requirements of each client. Sessions go for 1 hour and are done on the TEAMS platform.

Counselling

Alice’s counselling approach is person centred and she believes that every person’s story has been uniquely crafted by the challenges they have faced, and overcome, in their life. She walks with her client on their journey, safely exploring their past experiences and helping them to resolve their concerns in a way that works for them. She utilises practices that re-connect the mind (thoughts) with the body (feelings), focuses on her client’s strengths and capabilities, and empowers them to manage their current challenges and bravely step into creating their ideal life.

Coaching

Alice’s coaching experience is extensive and spans a variety of contexts ranging from executive and team coaching in organisations, to life coaching for individuals. She is a results-oriented coach and collaborates with her client to achieve real outcomes, such as:

  • Growing self-confidence
  • Identifying future goals that are realistic and achievable
  • Exploring her client’s strengths and capabilities
  • Developing awareness of limiting behaviours that are inhibiting personal growth
  • Exploring her client’s desire for change
  • Creating motivation and strengthening commitment to change
