About Alice Tait.

Alice is an intuitive and compassionate counsellor and coach with over a decade of experience supporting and empowering people to live their best life. Alice is a member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, an associate certified coach with the International Coaching Federation and a qualified Equine Assisted Therapist. Utilising these qualifications, Alice has worked in a range of settings with both adults, couples, and young people navigating life’s challenges.

Alice is warm and empathic and strives to build trusting relationships with her clients to promote a genuine connection and achieve real outcomes. Alice is passionate about raising her client’s self-awareness and empowering them to make positive choices. In this way, Alice works alongside her client in a reflective and collaborative manner to ensure they are making progress and finding new tools or strategies that work for them.

Having previously owned a business with a staff of 15 young adults, Alice is very aware of the challenges and stresses that can impact the wellbeing of teenagers and young adults. The practical experience she gained from mentoring and coaching her staff, together with her qualifications, provides her with the resources to support young people navigating life’s challenges and striving for an identity.

 

What Can Alice Offer You?

Each session with Alice is guided and tailored to her client’s needs at that moment. She uses a range of contemporary theories and techniques including, Gestalt Therapy, Somatic Awareness, Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Alice is adept at applying and adapting her skills and experience to the unique requirements of each client. Sessions go for 1 hour and can be done in person or on skype. 

 

Coaching

Alice’s coaching experience is extensive and spans a variety of contexts ranging from executive and team coaching in organisations, to life coaching for individuals. She is a results-oriented coach and collaborates with her client to achieve real outcomes, such as: –

  • Growing self-confidence
  • Identifying future goals that are realistic and achievable
  • Exploring her client’s strengths and capabilities
  • Developing awareness of limiting behaviours that are inhibiting personal growth
  • Exploring her client’s desire for change
  • Creating motivation and strengthening commitment to change

 

Counselling

Alice’s counselling approach is person centred and she believes that every person’s story has been uniquely crafted by the challenges they have faced, and overcome, in their life. She walks with her client on their journey, safely exploring their past experiences and helping them to resolve their concerns in a way that works for them. She utilises practices that re-connect the mind (thoughts) with the body (feelings), focuses on her client’s strengths and capabilities, and empowers them to manage their current challenges and bravely step into creating their ideal life.

Other Services

Alice has had an affinity with horses since she was 7 years of age and she is thrilled to now combine this passion and expertise with her qualifications, to become an Equine Assisted Therapist (EAT). She practices this powerful form of therapy, and personal development, from her beautiful property at Mount Alford, in the Scenic Rim. Although she does not have her horses with her when practicing from her Bardon location, she integrates foundational aspects of her EAT practice such as, grounding, mindfulness, mind-body awareness and noticing moment by moment experiences.

How much does it cost?

Each session is for 1 hour and costs $135.00. 

The fee for an Equine Assisted Therapy session differs from the above fee, please contact Alice for further details.

Can I claim on my Health Fund?

You can claim part of the fee from Medibank Private, depending on your level of extras cover.
